- Range Location: Shoot Indoors Denver (6th & I-25)
- Total Time: 8 Hours
- Class Size: Limited to 6 students for personalized instruction
- Prerequisites: None — beginners welcome
- Handgun Rental: $25 (.22 caliber) / $45 (9mm)
Section 1: NRA First Steps – Firearm Safety & Fundamentals
(2 Hours – Classroom Instruction)
Start with the NRA Basic First Steps Course, an ideal foundation for new shooters. Led by NRA Certified Instructors, this section focuses on firearm safety and basic marksmanship.
Topics Covered:
- The Four Primary Firearm Safety Rules
- Firearm Parts & Operation
- Ammunition Types and Safe Handling
- Fundamentals of Marksmanship (stance, grip, sight alignment, trigger control)
- Firearm Cleaning & Maintenance
- Safe Storage and Transportation
Student Requirements:
- Handgun with case (rentals available)
- 100 rounds of ammunition
- Eye & ear protection (available at range)

Section 2: Live-Fire Training & Basic Handgun Qualification
(1.5 Hours – Range Training)
After classroom instruction, students head to the range for live-fire exercises. You’ll complete a basic handgun qualification to demonstrate accuracy, safe handling, and confidence.
This session ensures you can apply what you’ve learned in a controlled, supervised environment. After shooting, students return to the classroom to complete the CHP portion of training.
Section 3: Colorado Concealed Handgun Permit Course
(4 Hours – Classroom Instruction)
Our Colorado CHP course goes beyond the minimum requirements, preparing you for real-world concealed carry. This is not just a checkbox class — it’s an in-depth education on the laws, responsibilities, and realities of concealed carry in Colorado.
