2. What are the requirements to obtain a Colorado Concealed Handgun Permit?
To obtain a Colorado Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP), you must generally be at least 21 years old, legally eligible to possess a firearm, successfully complete the required training with a Verified CHP Instructor, pass the written examination and live-fire qualification, and apply through your local sheriff’s office or authorized issuing agency.
3. How long is the Colorado concealed carry class?
Our new applicant Colorado Concealed Handgun Permit course is approximately 9 hours, while our renewal course is approximately 4.5 hours. Both courses meet or exceed Colorado training requirements and include classroom instruction, written testing, and live-fire qualification.
4. What is the Colorado Firearms Safety Course Eligibility Card?
The Firearms Safety Course Eligibility Card (FSCEC) is Colorado’s required training certificate for purchasing certain semiautomatic firearms. Depending on your qualifications, students complete either a 4-hour or 12-hour course covering firearm safety, Colorado law, safe storage, transportation, and responsible firearm ownership.
5. Who needs the Colorado Firearms Safety Course?
Anyone purchasing certain semiautomatic firearms covered under Colorado law may be required to obtain a Firearms Safety Course Eligibility Card before purchasing the firearm. 6. What is included in the concealed carry class?

11. Do you offer court-ordered firearm safety classes?
Yes. We offer professional court-ordered firearm safety classes that satisfy many court requirements. Students receive comprehensive firearm safety instruction and a certificate of completion upon successfully completing the course.
12. Do you offer private firearms training?
Yes. We provide private one-on-one firearms instruction tailored to your experience level and goals. Private lessons can focus on firearm safety, concealed carry, defensive shooting, marksmanship, or preparing for your Colorado CHP class.
13. What should I bring to class?
Students should bring a valid government-issued photo ID, an unloaded firearm in a case (if required for the course), at least three magazines or speed loaders if applicable, factory ammunition, eye and ear protection, lunch or snacks for longer classes, water, and note-taking materials. Rental firearms are available for select courses.
14. Do you offer firearm rentals?
Yes. Students who do not own a firearm or would like to try a different platform may rent one of our training firearms for eligible courses. Rental packages include the firearm and ammunition, making it easy for first-time shooters to attend class.
