Yes. Both the 16-Hour New Applicant Course and the 8-Hour Renewal Course are completed entirely online, allowing students to complete their training at their own pace from any computer, tablet, or mobile device.
6. Is the Armed Security Guard Training conducted online?
No. The 8-Hour Armed Security Guard Training is conducted in person because it includes classroom instruction, firearms safety, hands-on training, and a live-fire qualification.
7. How long is a Pueblo Security Guard License valid?
A Pueblo Security Guard License is valid for one (1) year from the date it is issued. To continue working as a licensed security guard, you must renew your license before it expires.
8. When can I renew my Pueblo Security Guard License?
You may begin the renewal process before your license expires. Renewing your license early helps prevent a lapse and allows you to continue working without interruption.
9. Can I renew my Pueblo Security Guard License after it expires?

No. The 16-Hour Online Security Guard Training is designed for individuals entering the private security profession with no prior experience.
17. Can I complete the online courses at my own pace?
Yes. Both the 16-Hour New Applicant Course and the 8-Hour Renewal Course are self-paced, allowing you to start, stop, and resume your training whenever it is convenient for your schedule.
18. Will I receive a certificate after completing the course?
Yes. Students who successfully complete their required training will receive a Certificate of Completion that can be submitted as part of their Pueblo Security Guard License application or renewal.
